2012 SCVAF Winners Annouced
On Friday, April 20th the 7th Annual Satellite Center Video & Animation Festival was held in Luling, Louisiana. During the awards ceremony at the end of the night the winners of each category and overall winners for the SCVAF were announced. Guest Speaker: Beavan Blocker from Moonbot Studios
Beavan Blocker, animator at the Oscar Winning Moonbot Studios, will be the opening speaker of the 2012 SCVAF Awards Banquet. Beavan will speak about his work on Moonbot Studio's Award Winning Best Animated Short Film, "The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore". He will also cover what it is like to work in this industry within the state of Louisiana. The Awards Banquet will take place immediately after viewing sessions at the 2012 SCVAF.
2012 SCVAF
The 2012 SCVAF will take place at the PLC (same place as last year) in St. Charles Parish on April 20th, 2012. All entries must be in by March 23rd in order to be judged by our esteemed judges from across the nation (and some international). Mark your calendars now and make sure you are free the night of the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
SCVAF Hosts
Albert Dupont served as one of three hosts for the 2011 SCVAF. He is also one of the founders of the SCVAF.
Viewing Rooms
Four viewing rooms are available for the SCVAF audience to enjoy all work entered into the festival.
Student Work
The students that enter their work in the SCVAF are able to sit in a room with others enjoying their work. This is a  powerful moment for the students.
SCVAF Hosts

Viewing of Entries
Many types of short films, broadcasting and animations are viewed by the community. You are able to choose what genre you want to watch, when you want to.
The SCVAF Family
The SCVAF family has grown every year and will continue to bring new schools on every year. With the goal of becoming the largest high school film festival in the south (and maybe the nation) we want to maintain this growth in the future. Thanks to all that have been part of the festival in the past.

SCVAF Mission

The mission of the SCVAF is to provide an environment of inspiration for students; provide the opportunity for students and other festival participants to learn from and to network with industry leaders; provide insight into career opportunities within the industry; and develop an appreciation for animation and film in the general public.
